Converse One Star Academy Hi Sep 24, 2010 We don t usually hear about much from the Converse camp outside of the Jack Purcell and the Chuck Taylor All-Star, but they hope to change that in the near future. Here we get a look at the Converse One Star, a classically styled basketball shoe. The upper is all white leather and sports a higher than normal ankle that has a bit of blue elastic near the collar. We ve now received word that the shoes have made their way to accounts over in Japan. Each shoe involved consists of a multi-colored plaid upper, and sits atop a classic white rubber sole. Other features include the traditional rubber toe cap, as well as some nice midsole piping. Look for them to make their way stateside sometime soon.

Right in time for Fall comes this Converse Chuck Taylor Hi Brown Suede and from the looks of things they are pretty infallible.The high top sneaker features a full suede upper done in brown with red as its secondary color via the lining and laces. Speaking of laces the two D-Ring eyelets at the top of the sneakers upper gives it an almost boot feel. A grey rubber foxing strip above the white outsole is also a nice detail.
